Biography

DJ SpY, known as "The One Man Asylum," is a dynamic and versatile DJ hailing from St. Maarten and now based in the Netherlands. With a deep connection to a wide array of musical genres, DJ SpY has mastered the art of blending House(EDM), Hip-hop, Soca, Reggae, Dancehall, Calypso, Merengue, Bachata, Funk, Drum 'n' Bass, Rock, Zouk, Garage, Lounge, Reggaeton, Ritmo Combina, and R&B into his sets. His eclectic mixing style keeps audiences engaged and makes each performance a unique experience.

DJ SpY first gained international attention with his AsylumRadio Show, which quickly became a staple on multiple platforms. This success paved the way for high-profile DJ gigs around the world, where he opened for major artists like Daddy Yankee, Fabolous, Fat Joe, Ludacris, Kassav, Sean Paul, Bow wow, Shaggy, Kevin Lyttle, Kes the Band, Beenie Man, Raulin Rodriguez, Carimi, Patrice Roberts, and the list goes on.

His career has taken him across the globe, with notable performances in major cities across the USA, including New York, Washington, Philadelphia, Miami, and Atlanta. In the Caribbean, DJ SpY has electrified audiences in St. Maarten, Aruba, Curaçao, Saba, St. Eustatius, Barbados, Puerto Rico, Anguilla and St. Kitts. His European tour has seen him performing in Finland, Belgium, Spain, Netherlands, UK, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Croatia, France, and Germany.

DJ SpY has captivated audiences at some of the world’s biggest festivals, ranging from 5,000 to 120,000 attendees. He has spun at iconic events such as Antilliaanse Feesten, Tomorrowland, Notting Hill Carnival, and Rotterdam Carnival, among many others.
